And now comes the part for which everyone is waiting for! Yes guys, you can root and install Clockworkmod Recovery on your phone as easily as any other phone! Although the kernel sources of this phone aren’t out yet, but thanks to similarities with Galaxy S II, that this phone has already received a root treatment within days of its official release.
And in order to get root on Samsung Galaxy Note, here is what you need:
And how to do it:
- At first, download all the stuff provided above and save / install on your PC. You will need ODIN to flash CWM image, Kies for drivers and SU.zip to acquire root on your Galaxy Note.
- Put your Galaxy Note in download mode. To accomplish this, power off your Galaxy Note and then power it back on while holding volume down and home button together with power key,
- After you have your Samsung Galaxy Note in download mode, connect your phone to computer via USB cable.
- Launch ODIN.exe on your PC and you will be able to see one com port tab in yellow color.
- Now in ODIN, click on PDA and select .tar CWM file you earlier downloaded.
- After selection is made, click on start and wait while recovery image is flashed on your Samsung Galaxy Note.
- once the recovery installed, reboot your phone.
- Now reboot your phone again into Recovery mode. Power off your phone and then reboot it while holding volume up key along with power and home buttons.
- After you are in recovery mode, select mounts option, mount your phone as USB drive and copy SuperUser.zip file to SD Card.
- After this, unmount and flash the superuser.zip file from install zip from sd card menu available in recovery.
- Once the installation is complete, you will have root on your phone.
